USA concert

In Los Angeles 5ive has officially been scheduled for a concert on April 10th. They are performing along with Westlife, LFO, Whitney Houston, and other artists on the ARISTA RECORDS label. However, tickets are $500 for orchestra, $125 dollars for regular tickets and $30 for balcony tickets. The concert is taking place at the SHRINE AUDITORIUM. Supposedly this tour will continue to spread to ther major towns.

Mel C and J dating..
Mel C is going out with Five singer J, she has revealed. The pair only recently got together, and were reportedly spotted canoodling at The Brits last Friday. Speaking to fans on the internet yesterday, Mel, who has been the only single member of the Spice Girls for some time, coyly indicated who the new man was. 'I'm quite shocked that I met someone nice the other day,' said Sporty Spice. She said she hoped the relationship would flourish adding, 'he's a famous boy.' 'It's early days yet. I'm not ready to say. I don't want to scare him off,' she said. However, the UK press have confidently asserted that J, who once labelled Mel 'ugly', is definitely the mystery man. Mel also alluded to him when she said her plans for the coming week included going to see Five.

BRITS 2000
[click pic larger] Five won "Best Pop" at this year's Brits! They also had a fab performance of "We Will Rock You" featuring Queen guitarist Brian May. The night was sure to show they are more than a mere boy band... statebound fans should check below under "tv apperances" for usa showings of the Brits.... Much Music will present the show this month (march)...
J and Mel C?
Smash Hits did an after party for the Brits...
MEL C and Five heart-throb J had a blazing row and then kissed and made up during the 'SPICE GIRLS' private party at Sugar Reef.
Apparently, Sporty was hurt that the hunky star had described her as ugly in an interview and made sure J knew how angry she was.
But J managed to make amends - so much so that the pair finished the night snogging in a corner.

Despite having massive success with their second album Invincible, there are fears that 5ive's chart days may be numbered. The fellas, who had their first number one with Keep On Movin', have been refusing to do any promotional work, leaving their record company bosses worried that fans will end up getting sick and tired of the band's bad ways. The guys were supposed to go to Asia to do promotion at the January, but they cancelled the trip because Scott was ill. And they've since been refusing to do any interviews with UK magazines and newspapers. Now bosses at BMG, the boys record label, are demanding that the rest of the lads carry on their work with or without Scott because they think Rich, J, Sean and Abs are using it as an excuse to get out of doing any work. Tut tut boys!

Live & Kicking

Over the next five weeks Electric Circus will be following the lads in the build up to their first show. Rich will be live in the Live & Kicking studio this Saturday taking your questions and launching the first part of L&K's exclusive Electric Circus special.

Charity Concert
Manchester
Geri Halliwell, 5ive and Billie are amongst the line-up of a charity pop concert in Manchester later this month. Lulu, Dina Carroll, The Honeyz, Caprice and Atomic Kitten are also to play at Music For Life -an evening sponsored by Manchester radio station Key 103FM- in aid of the Christie's against Cancer Appeal and the Helping Hand Appeal. There are only a handful of single tickets left for the 17,000 cacpacity event, to be held at the Manchester Evening News Arena on Friday January 28. Other acts set to perform are Tin Tin Out, Hepburn, Alice Deejay, Phats & Small, Ann Lee, Vengaboys, A1, Adam Rickett and Madasun. Remaining tickets are available from £12.50 by calling the Piccadilly Box Office on 0161-832 11 11. Or the Manchester Evening News Arena Box Office on 0161-930 8000.

When the BBC people saw J guest on Never Mind the Buzzcocks they were so impressed they have asked him to have his own show on BBC!

Five Dolls?
Forget furbies and Britney dolls. Rumour has it the hottest must-have of the Y2K will be the long-awaited Five dolls. There will be a tug on theirs backs that will have them talk. Scott told TOTP his doll will sing a line from Five's song: "Hopefully you will make me a better man" While J's doll will let out a manic laugh. And Abs?...His will say the infamous line we all love..."Wiggy Wiggy im gettin jiggy." Is it all a rumour?! We hope not...

Classic TOTP moments
When Naima Honeyz sauntered up to J and pured, "I really fancy you!" quess what J's reaction was. Did he song her face? Did he croon back, "You're right tasty yourself." Nah! He ran away. TOTP later saw J suspicously eyeing up her puffa jacket and whispering to the other lads, "Yeah, she likes me, but what is she wearing!?"

5ive won the best british band and Scott won the best haircut. They also performed "If Ya Gettin Down", getting great reviews!

...As for Five they were busy sorting out which of the band members was going to play Splatoon and J was most upset when the audience picked Ritchie. "We'll never beat Jimmy 911 now," he moaned. And when Rich duly failed to knock Jimmy from the top of the Splatoon charts J shouted "I'm going too kick his head in!!". He was only jooking of course (we think). Anyway, Five still made up in time to perform their new No 1 Keep On Movin'.

Dear Helen... I was watching CD: UK's popumentary on Five and i noticed that Ritchie had a tattoo on his leg. Could you tell me if it's real 'cos it looks gorgeous! Five's Biggest Fan, Oxford
Well spotted! It seems that sneaky ol' Ritchie has been trying to keep his tattoo a secret from all his adoring fans. But now the tatt's out the bag, so to speak, Ritchie has been forced to come clean! He got the tattoo done in August 1998 in Los Angeles. It's a black design on his lower left leg, which he says, "Doesn't mean anything, i just liked the design." Currently he doesn't have any plans to add to his tattoo collection.

   I am very sorry for the delay in the release of the album in the US. Some times albums are pushed back so they do not get lost in the store by other releases. Some times it is just a feeling that a different release date would be better. I do not know why this release has been pushed back, but please understand this is business. We at the label want nothing more to make the fans like you happy and provide the quality music you are looking for. If you would like to call me to discuss this further or would like me to call you just send me an email and I will do my best to help. I have forwarded your email to other departments so they understand how the world feels about this delay. I know this does not help, but the album will be in stores next year. Let me know if I can do anything to help.
